Dr. Jean-Yves GONTIER
Dr. Gontier holds a Ph.D. from Jean Monnet University of Paris. He also holds a professional certificate in International arbitration from Columbia University Law School. Additionally he earned a Certificate of aptitude for the profession of lawyer from Ecole de Formation du Barreau de Paris.
Dr. Gontier holds a Master in Public affairs from Sciences Po in Paris and another from University of Paris 2, in Private Law and Political Science.
His is teaching inScience Po School of Law where he taught Comparative public law, and International litigation.
He led and directed educational programs at Science Po, Sorbonne University of Parisand in Columbia University.
His extensive experience in Law includes being the legal counsel for several public and private entities for international arbitration and litigation.
He served as a counsel for former Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade.
He is also a co-head, responsible for the creation of an International Arbitration Center initiated by countries member of IGAD. Dr Gontier has several publications to his name.
